Hi Guys

Family Guy is known for its controversy! I was wondering if anyone had ever been offended by any of its content? or do you think its just light hearted humour that shouldn't be taken seriously???

personally, i think that family guy is ridiculously funny and i cant believe it was banned in England for a while; seriously if people cant laugh at themselves then they are never going to be happy... family guy allows you to take the mick out of yourself and others in a lighthearted way.
Although I do find Herbert, the creepy old man, very disturbing, its still hilarious.
I think stewies character is brilliant- sometimes i remember he is just a baby and then all the actions and things he says become even funnier.

I will admit I have only viewed a few episodes of Family Guy, but from what I have seen, I have not been impressed. The show is crude, vulgar and highly offensive. It deals with racist, sexist and homophobic issues in a very unsensitive way. I don't think it is suitable for Tv, and especially for younger viewers.

how can you say that??? its hilarious. the offensive issues your moaning about are the whole point of the show- its a parody, a mimic. it purposely deals with those issues and takes the piss out of society for cringing at homosexuals, for being racist/sexist. it laughs at those ideas.

The show is original and entertaining, although at times crude and yes I agree a little disturbing it is one of funniest shows around.
