Family Guy is WAY better! It feels like American Dad is an experiment. Family Guy has a cool formula and gets the best jokes/scenarios/plots. But American Dad seem like the testing ground for ideas or concepts that may not fly on Family Guy. that's why A.D. is so hit or miss, and F.G. is pretty consistent. A.D. just seems to be an outlet for all the ideas Seth McFarlane can't fit into F.G. or is unsure of how the ideas will go over.

I watched the first 3 seasons of Family Guy. It was consistently hilarious.

I've seen a few episodes of American Dad. It managed to be funny once, no, maybe twice?
