I think cartoons like Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama, etc, are overthrowing the older cartoons like South Park and Simpsons, because we've all seen Kenny die like 300 times, and the Simpson's has gone really formulated (small event triggers big event, Homer says something stupid, winds up OK in the end) and the jokes just aren't as funny anymore... or maybe they're just as funny but we're so used to the humour that it isn't funny anymore. *GASP*

Hell no. The Simpsons and Family Guy go neck to neck in viewers. Sometimes Family Guy has a higher viewer amount, and sometimes its the reverse. American Dad, sorry to say does not get hardly as many viewers as either the Simpsons or Family Guy.

South Park still gets a hell of a lot of viewers aswell. Futurama is a great show, and was created by the Simpsons Creator himself, Matt Groening, and former Simpsons writers. Futurama is hilarious, and would probably tear American Dad up in viewers.
