At the beginning of this episode the Griffins are all watching TV together. The Brady Bunch is on and it's about Greg smoking. Meg tells everybody that she wants collagen injections to make her lips thicker, and Lois says that she can't have them. Stewie, holding up his mind control devise says that his mind control devise is complete. Lois takes it away and tells him that he can’t have toys at the table.

Then Peter comes in the room and orders Lois to give him permission to go to the stack party. She says he can but she makes him promise that he won't drink. Then they show flashbacks of Peter getting drunk at church from the communion wine, getting drunk at an ice cream parlor from eating butter rum ice cream, and they show him drunk at a movie theater.

At the stack party Quagmire asks if Peter wants to play drink the beer, and peter says yeah and that he is going to go for the high score. Peter gets totally drunk at the stack party.

Peter and his friends at the stack party try to watch a porno but it was taped over with the statue of liberty, so Peter tells everybody that they can just drink until she's hot.

The next morning Peter is lying on the table with a hangover, and everybody else is eating their food off of him. Then Lois almost tricks Peter into saying that he drank at the stack party even though she told him not to. Then Lois's chair breaks and she says that she could’ve broken her neck, and then Stewie says "Damn". Peter explains to Lois that nothing bad happened because he got drunk at the stack party, and then he goes off to work.

At work Peter is caught sleeping on the job and his boss, Mr. Weed, tells him to pay more attention and make sure the toys are safe for kids. Mr. Weed leaves and Peter falls asleep again. While Peter is sleeping many dangerous items pass buy on the conveyer belt with the children's toys.

The news reports about the dangerous toys and shows lots of kids playing with them and getting hurt. Mr. Weed tells Peter that he's fired. Then Peter says "Aw jeez, for how long?"

Peter gets scared to tell Lois that he got fired for drinking. He looks to the devil and angel shoulder guys for advice on what to do. The devil guy says to lie to her, and the angel one doesn't show up and they show him caught in traffic. So Peter decides to lie to Lois.

Later that day at the kitchen table, a laser beam goes right by Lois's head and they show Stewie with a gun sticking out of his sandwich.

Peter talks to Brian about his job search and says that it's not going well. Then Brian tells Peter that he should tell Lois the truth and that if he doesn't tell her the truth soon she will figure out where he has been going every day, which is hiding under a lamp shade. So Peter decides to tell Lois the truth.

Later that night Stewie tries to get his mind control device back from the cabinet that Lois put it in.

Peter and Lois walk into the room and Peter starts to try to tell Lois the truth about how he got fired from his job, but ends up calling Lois fat.

The next day Brian and Peter are talking about what to do and Brian tells Peter to watch out for his family's welfare, so Peter thinks he's saying that he should go apply for welfare. So Peter goes to sign up for welfare.

When the first welfare check comes in the mail everybody is there except Lois and they all see that the welfare company has made a mistake and has given them $150,000 a week instead of $150 per week.

Peter uses some of the welfare money to rent the Statue of David, but when he took it to his house the penis broke off. When Lois sees it she asks him how they can afford it and Peter lies and says that he got a really big raise at work.

Later, Peter buys Meg the collagen injections that she wanted, and also buys Chris some breast implants. Also they got a moat around the outside of their house to keep out the black night and to protect them now that they were rich. One day Lois gets the mail before Peter and figures out that they're getting welfare. Lois gets really mad, and she gets into a big argument with Peter.

Peter decides that if his wife is mad at him, money doesn't matter, so he tries to figure out a way to give the money back and make sure that Lois sees him doing it.

Peter and Brian decide to fly a blimp over the Super bowl and drop the money out of it down to the fans. John Madden calls Fox security and they take Peter and Brian's blimp down, and put them in jail.

Back at the house, Stewie threatens to give Lois a box of active grenades if she doesn't give him his mind control devise, and Lois says that he can have it and hands it to him calling it a toy. Lois gets a phone call from somebody saying that Peter and Brian were taken to jail, and then they go to court.

In court Peter is found guilty of welfare fraud and everybody says "oh, no", "oh, no", and then the Kool-Aid guy breaks through the courtroom wall and says "OH YEAH!"

Stewie uses his mind control devise to get the judge to change his mind and saves his parents from going to jail because he needs them to care for him, Stewie also gets the judge to get Peter his job back by using the mind control devise as well.

The episode ends like it started. The Griffins are watching TV and everything is back to normal, they aren't rich, Peter got his job back, and everything else is back to how it was at the beginning of the episode.
