Seth MacFarlane (creator of both shows) makes it a point to joke about as many stereotypes as he can in each episode. The purpose here is that the audacity of the dialogue is unexpected and hilarious. At the same time, he is showing how stupid stereotypes are by illustrating the circumstances that would lead to such stereotypes via cut-away scenes. This is no different than television series in years past: All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Alice's Resturant, Three's Company, etc. If you are offended by such material, just change the channel or turn the tele off; no one is forcing you at the point of a gun to watch. Exercise your power within the free market economy.
